Programming at the Playhouse aims to reach all members of our community and offers a diverse array of events and celebrations to embrace our common humanity.
Growing Together
Our community garden project provides lush vegetables to our neighbours and digital cooking lessons with local chefs.
Our food education project brought local chefs to nearby schools to celebrate the art of cooking. Chefs prepared delicious meals with students and provided snacks, lunches and take-home meals.
Thrive
This collaborative theatre project aims to explore the experience of being a woman
with a disability, its impact on personal development and the transformative aspects of celebrating the gifts of every human being. Weekly project sessions connect participants with local artists and stimulate different forms of creation.
In partnership with PEI Writers’ Guild and Genevieve Soloman Memorial Library, He(art) Stories celebrated the art of storytelling within our schools and community. This project brought local writers and storytellers to nearby schools and community centres to lead workshops on different facets of the writing and storytelling process.
