Nudie & The Sundowners will take the stage to perform the iconic songs that have defined generations. From the heartbreaking "If You Could Read My Mind" to the epic "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," the evening promises to be a heartfelt celebration of the man and his songs. From the sweet folk licks of Lightfoot's early music, to the sultry electric guitar riffs and grooving bass lines of Sundown, lead guitarist Bobby McIsaac, bassist Serge Bernard and your host Nudie on vocals & guitar, perfectly capture the spirit of Lightfoot's music.
Nudie
An Island sensation for years, Nudie has toured long and far and played in venues of all sizes across North America.
Along with club & festival shows in Canada & the United States, Nudie has
showcased at the North by Northeast Festival, the Ontario Council of Folk
Festivals, the Americana Music Festival in Nashville and the North American Folk
Alliance in Memphis, Tennessee.
His songs have been featured in CTV television’s Saving Hope as well as the 2021 crime/thriller, A Small Fortune.
Serge Bernard
Serge is a multi-instrumentalist who brings his bass and harmony vocal skills to the show. His roots are in bluegrass, winning many awards & accolades in the genre. In 2023 Serge had the honour of being inducted into The Canadian Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame.
Bobby McIsaac
Bobby has built a career and reputation on versatility. As a guitarist he’s toured in an award-winning funk rock band, recorded for folk, indie-rock, and pop artists, and played live with several country acts. He also spent nearly a decade music directing various productions that spanned a plethora of genres. All of these experiences add to the style with which he approaches a song and keep him looking forward to the next new musical experience.
